<scp>Semiexplicit</scp> time integration of a reduced magnetic vector potential <scp>magneto?quasistatic</scp> field formulation

In this article, a reduced vector potential formulation for transient magneto-quasistatic field problems is presented. The finite element method spatial discretization yields system of differential algebraic equations (DAE). Applying generalized Schur complement the DAE decomposes into ordinary (ODE) and an equation. order to avoid computationally expensive linearization schemes solve nonlinear eddy current ODE integrated in time using semiexplicit Euler scheme. split source which describes magnetization effects. compared with underlying nonreduced regarding overall performance. addition, proper orthogonal decomposition applied iterative preconditioned conjugate gradient minimize number iterations per step.
